Proper assessment, compatible materials, skill of workmanship, and integrity of the artisans are all equally critical to exterior restoration. Integrity is extremely important as the necessary steps in many of the processes can be very exacting and sometimes slow. One could have the first three – proper assessment, compatible materials, and skill of workmanship – and yet still have a poor quality project if the artisans involved don’t have the utmost dedication and integrity. Unfortunately for building owners, the bad effects that these “repairs” may cause often do not become apparent for years.
